I was shocked, too, when I heard the headlines. It was quickly cleared up when I read the rest of what he said, however.
I totally respect Kerry for the fact he was in the military. He could have dodged the draft like many people did. He gets big props for me for that. You can ask a lot of soldiers do not support the war but they are there for their brothers/sisters in the service. Does that mean that members of our service. You can say he is a con artist, I belive Bush is. He put us in a bad situation with Iraq.

I can't stand when someone does something, and people jump up and say that another person did something wrong too.
So instead of trying to solve the problem, lets just bring up every idiodic thing that every other person has done.
I think timing is everything here. If Kerry apolgized right away I could forgive and forget. But what took him so long? I believe it was his own court pressuring him to save face therefore his apology rings hollow.

He made fun of Bush and I believe THAT'S what his fans are upset about ... not the troops.
George Bush has done HORRIBLE things to our troops, regardless of what words come out of his mouth - and some doozies have come out - where was the outrage then, I ask... .

We can deal with what other people did wrong on another conversation, because it has nothing to do with this one.
I care about what John Kerry does because he is my senator, and a powerful leader in this country.
But really Senorina... If the Left had a Rush Limbaugh or a handful of Sean Hannitys' there would have been so much more outrage about things that BushCo have done in the last 6 years.
Outside of Keith Olberman the Left has no real media voices that get heard, let alone in the numbers that the Limbaugh, Hannity, and Savage get heard in. Look at how many viewers Fox has and on a daily basis they have practically no one as a voice from the Left. With millions of listeners on their side it was easy to drum-up outrage.
The funny part was that Kerry was himself a soldier so any perceived slamming of the military also applied to him.
